Amita Dhanda is an Indian academician, activist, and Professor Emerita (formerly professor of law) at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. She was appointed one of the fourteen members of the National Advisory Council for the implementation of the RTE act in 2010. She started her career as a researcher at the Indian Law Institute, Delhi, and became a full-time Professor at NALSAR.
